Thumbnails

I have started working on a few basic thumbnails, I find it quite nice getting them down in pen and ink first, and its very nice to see how small you can work in the space, something about photoshop makes me draw bigger than the space I have set, think because I can see it properly when I have it on pen and paper whereas I still struggle with sizing on photoshop.

I have put dots on the ones I like the most and these are the ones I am going to do in photoshop in larger form, then from those I think I will decide which three are the best and what ones will become my finished concept pieces.

Even though these look to me a little basic, I really like the market place one where it begins to show how the people socialise and barter. I was inspired by the shape of the Undead City in World of Warcraft, how each part had its own quarter with a bank in the middle, I thought this would work for a Citadel where four groups trade and socialise, each quarter thrives on its own but everyone comes together to trade in the centre.
